Open the root directory entry for the institution for which you are entering the ID.
Select Actions>Edit.
Click on “Local directory information.”
Populate the “Institutional patron ID” field with the barcode of that represents that institution in your library management system.
Save.

Exceptions
Note that the Alma LMS automatically checks items out to the resource sharing partner library and does not require institutional patron IDs. Alma users may leave these fields blank.
