Auditor (external) |
A certified professional who examines financial records for accounting/auditing/tax purposes |
Campus Affiliate |
An employee of an organization that has a formal or informal relationship with an academic institution due to shared goals or mission, e.g., research institutions, museums, for-profit corporations (especially "spin offs" from the academic institution), etc. Terms of library use may be the same as faculty, students or staff or may vary depending upon the specifics of the relationship. |
Communications/Development |
Staff who manage the library's "brand" to external audiences through communication tools and fund-raising efforts |

Professional who works on the conservation of objects. Staff who work with vendors to determine appropriate pricing for purchase or licensing of materials |
Creator (author) |
Content creators who seek to submit or manage their content in a library-managed system, such as repository. |
Curator |
Content specialist responsible for an institutional collection of tangible objects (e.g., artwork, collectibles, historic items, etc.) or intangible objects such as digital data |

Staff who identify and record any type of metadata used for library functions |
