The NCIP check in item service allows ReShare to automatically check in an item to your local catalog.

Check in occurs as part of the following actions in ReShare:

Requirements

The following requirements must be met for the check in to be performed successfully.

  1. You must configure your host LMS integration and local NCIP settings in the ReShare Settings app.

  2. The item must be checked out.

Data

The check in item service will supply the following data to your LMS to support the service.

  • Temporary Item ID: The temporary barcode (request_number) when the brief item is created in the LMS when an item is received.

  • Item ID: The barcode found on a physical item that is used to fill a ReShare request. This item barcode is scanned into the system when filling a request.

  • No labels
